Text Box: On arrival at our premises unwanted parts are trimmed, before they are drum salted with the addition of small quantities of preservatives. The skins are then packed onto pallets and wrapped so that they remain slightly moist until arrival at our customers’ premises. In the case of the airdried selection, the skins are fleshed prior to hanging to ensure the best possible curing and are packed in bales with the addition of naphthalene for better preservation and to avoid any presence of hide beetles. Text Box: Product Description Cyprus kid and goat skins are in their great majority of the Damascus breed, producing high quality leathers for all kind of uses. Our customers use our kid/goat skins to produce shoe uppers, suede, garment, and glove leather. Whatever your needs you will find the right match in the different selections of kid and goatskins we offer. The skins are collected directly from the abattoirs and all are machine flayed. The majority are wet-salted, with the exception of the smaller kidskin category which are air-dried.
